Sissy Girl by TCosbyJr Sissy Girl by TCosbyJr
A photo I took of my cat named Sissy for a possible reference for a new project. I thought it was fitting to put it online for the cat takeover of April 1.

Seems like everyone loves the tortoiseshell color, if your kitten is anything like her she is really loving only when she wants it. :XD:

What seems to make Sissy stand out is that several of her toes are bright orange/tan, many other tortoiseshell cats I have seen aren't. Her nickname is Miss Tan Toe, as she likes to stick out her foot to show it off :D

Reminds me of some cats I had growing up. We lived on my Grandmothers old farm and we has lots of cats. They would bring us many lovely surprises in the morning.

Sounds like they kept busy on your Grandmother's farm. This cat stays indoors only and is our "bug catcher", she often catches flies and the occasional spider. :D

Your lucky! Once I stepped on a dead snake. Several times we had mice waiting for us semi alive. Oh and one brought my aunt a frog while she was sleeping and dropped it on her chest!

I've had one cat in particular, a tiger cat named Rascals that did things like that when we lived out in the country. His favorite was mice, frogs, moles, and large rabbits (often much bigger than him). I learned quickly to wear shoes when stepping out on my back porch as he would leave them on the door mat.

We put a bell on his collar, to prevent his wildlife hunts; however, it turned out to make him a target for other tomcats so we had to remove it.

Rabbits! Cats are something else! Yep barefoot with cats can be a hazard.
